Day 3 down, on to day 4

The first day with actors ran smoothly. We began about 6 p.m. at Melanie’s house, or production central as we are now calling it, to load up with crew and head to set.

Our lead actors, Alex Walters and Candice Barley, easily began the bonding process by running lines yesterday afternoon by the pool at Candice’s adopted Oxford mom’s house, Georgia Beth Griffin. Our other amazing lead, Bo Keister, (Tyler), took on the job of transportation for the day and hung out with us on set. Johnny McPhail, who plays Ace or Haddy’s dad, also dropped by the set last night to say hi and meet his daughter.

The folks at Sno Biz were fantastic and hung out with us the whole night as we filmed from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. They were tremendous to let us use their perfect location and we so enjoyed our night there. Former Oxford resident Carlisle Forrester flew in from Austin to play the role of Teresa last night and did a stand up job. It was great to have her on set with us.

Special shout out to Lynda Addington (Melanie’s mom) for the great job on craft services. No one went hungry or thirsty, that is for sure!

We shot several key scenes with Haddy and Jacob last night and tonight again will focus on the two of them but this time at the Ole Miss Motel. Wednesday we start filming with Keister and then the rest of our actors begin arriving and the week gets busy!
